True North Bookkeeping is a remote bookkeeping service. Our many years of experience, will not only save you money but you will get a very qualified and efficient bookkeeper to help run your business.

Hiring us will make your schedules very flexible and available. We don’t hold specific office hours but we do offer constant customer support. When you hire us we are available at your convenience. It may be mornings, evenings, or weekends that work best for you and that is fine with us. We are here to work around your schedule.

Backing up your data and keeping it secured and accessible is one of our important tasks. The biggest benefit of using True North Bookkeeping is that you can focus 100% on running your business and let someone else handle the bookkeeping. Having updated financials when your need them is going to help you run your business and help you make key business decisions.

Meet The Team

Sara Kucharski

After studying Financial Planning at Fanshawe College in Canada, Sara started her career as a Financial Advisor at TD Canada Trust and held a variety of leadership positions in the distribution sector before moving to Denver, Colorado in 2015 with her husband, Patrick.

Sara, while working as an Office Manager in Colorado, saw a great opportunity to take her finance skillset and start freelancing on the side as a bookkeeper.  During COVID lockdown, and with the potential of an upcoming relocation to another state, Sara saw another opportunity to assist others in keeping their books and business on track and decided to take the leap to turn her freelance bookkeeping into a full-time career.  True North Bookkeeping now serves businesses locally and across North America with monthly bookkeeping, payroll, training and more.

Sara, her husband Patrick, and their 3 big dogs, Roen, Lochlan and Gracie, have made Milford their home since 2020.  They enjoy travelling, spending time at their cottage in Canada and lazy Sundays with the dogs.

Angela Carter

Angela graduated in 1990 from Clark Atlanta University with a BA in Business Administration/Finance. She has been a professional accountant for over 25 years. She has experience managing budgets and accounts for Fortune 100/500’s, private, government, and nonprofit corporations. She gained valuable skills, using the GAAP Accounting standards (Generally Accepted Account Practices) in her prior roles which she will use in all her projects.

She is committed to improve operational processes, ensure financial records are complete and in good order monthly.  Angela is confident that with her experience, she can help you put innovative systems in place that will improve operational integrity and make your job easier. Her top priority will be to provide our clients with the necessary financial information needed for decision-making, as well as ensure the financial records show the overall financial picture of your business. 

Angela resides in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband, Raymond. She has two children, a son in college and a daughter who resides in New York. In her spare time, Angela enjoys bike rides, reading, and baking cakes.

Candace brings over nine years of bookkeeping experience across diverse industries, helping clients unlock clarity in their finances. Passionate about empowering business owners, she ensures they have accurate, up-to-date financial insights to make confident decisions. Holding an MBA with a focus on Project Management, she also carries the QuickBooks Online ProAdvanced Certification and a Bookkeeping Certification from Coursera and Intuit—combining strategic thinking with hands-on expertise.

When she’s not optimizing spreadsheets or untangling financial reports, Candace thrives on chaos (the fun kind!) with her family, stitching cozy creations through crochet, digging into her garden, or getting lost in a good book. She also hosts a wrestling podcast—because even number-crunchers need a little drama.

Shaun began working as a virtual assistant, specializing in back-office support, email management, and social media posting. With over nine years of experience, she has honed her skills in bookkeeping and administrative tasks, helping businesses streamline their operations and stay on track.

When the shift to remote work accelerated during COVID, Shaun saw an opportunity to expand her services, offering reliable virtual support to entrepreneurs and small businesses navigating the challenges of a digital workspace. Today, she combines her expertise in bookkeeping and virtual assistance to provide seamless backend solutions, allowing her clients to focus on growing their businesses.

Shaun, her husband Francisco Haro, and their three energetic boys—Ben, Sam, and Max love spending weekends exploring Arizona. When she’s not wrangling spreadsheets or inboxes, you’ll find her baking messy but delicious desserts or planning their next family weekend.
